Terms of Service
1. Agreement
By accessing or using timelines.me ("Service"), operated by 263 Napse SRL ("Company", "we", "us"), registered at Str. Sibiului 263, 555301 Cisnadioara, Sibiu, Romania, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
3. Account
To use the Service, you must authenticate via a third-party provider (Google, Facebook, or Apple). We do not store passwords. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your third-party account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Service Plans
4.1 Free Plan
The free plan includes a limited number of timelines and events as described on our pricing page. Features may change with notice.
4.2 Pro Plan
The Pro plan provides additional features including unlimited timelines, unlimited echoes, and additional storage. Payment is processed through Stripe. Prices are displayed before purchase.
4.3 Refund Policy
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for the Pro plan. If you are not satisfied, contact us at contact@timelines.me within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. After 30 days, no refunds are provided. Refunds are processed to the original payment method.
4.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. You will retain Pro features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are given for unused time beyond the 30-day guarantee period.
5. Your Content
5.1 Ownership
You retain full ownership of all content you create on timelines.me, including timelines, events, descriptions, and any uploaded media. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content.
5.2 License to Operate
By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, encrypt, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This license terminates when you delete your content or account.
5.3 Prohibited Content
You may not use the Service to store or distribute content that:
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
- Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
- Contains malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination
- Involves exploitation of minors
- Constitutes spam or unsolicited commercial communications
- Impersonates another person or entity
5.4 Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law without prior notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you when content is removed, except where prohibited by law.
6. Data Export
In compliance with GDPR Article 20 (Right to Data Portability), you may export all your data at any time in a machine-readable JSON format through the Service settings. Upon account deletion, all data is permanently removed within 0 days.
7. Encryption
Your timeline data is encrypted at rest using post-quantum cryptography (Kyber1024 KEM + AES-256-GCM). Encryption keys are stored separately from encrypted data. While we take every reasonable measure to protect your data, in the unlikely event of key loss or corruption, encrypted data may become permanently inaccessible. We strongly recommend using the data export feature regularly as a backup.
8. Availability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. We are not liable for any downtime, data loss, or service interruptions.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 263 Napse SRL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Modifications
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, you may delete your account and data.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and Romania. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Sibiu, Romania, without prejudice to your rights under EU consumer protection law to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
