One email, one human. We answer within two business days — usually faster. Write to contact@timelines.me with the version of the app (Settings → About) and a short description of what happened.

Quick help

How do I export my data?

Open the app, tap Settings, then Export all data under the Data section. You'll get a ZIP archive with every timeline, event, photo, and your profile — ready to keep, back up, or move.

Per-timeline exports (JSON or PDF) live in the timeline's more menu (the … button at the top right). PDF export is a Pro feature.

How do I cancel Pro?

Open the iOS Settings app, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then timelines.me, then Cancel Subscription. You can also reach the same screen from inside the app: Settings → Manage subscription.

You keep Pro features until the end of your current billing period. Partial refunds for unused time aren't issued — but your data stays, always. If you want your money back for a recent purchase, request it from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do echoes work?

An echo is a read-only invitation for one person, on one private timeline. Open the timeline, tap the echo pill near the top, then add their email.

If they already use timelines.me, the timeline appears in their account. If not, they'll get an invite to join and claim it. You can revoke any echo at any time — no warning, no trace left, no email to them announcing it.

What happens when I delete my account?

Everything goes. Every timeline, every event, every photo, every echo — permanently removed from our servers. Not archived, not held for 30 days, not recoverable.

If you want to keep a copy, export your data first (Settings → Export all data). Then Settings → Delete Account, and type your email to confirm.

Face ID isn't working

If Face ID stops unlocking the app after you change your biometric enrollment (added or removed a face, changed your device passcode), that's expected — we rotate your session token for safety. Sign in again with Apple or Google, then re-enable Require Face ID to unlock from Settings.

If Face ID itself is broken in iOS, check iOS Settings → Face ID & Passcode. When it works there, it works in the app.

Restore purchases

Reinstalled the app or switched devices? Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases. The app asks Apple which subscriptions belong to your Apple ID and re-links Pro to your timelines.me account.

Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used to buy Pro. Family Sharing isn't supported for Pro — each household member manages their own subscription.

Something else?

Write to contact@timelines.me. Tell us what happened, what you expected, and what version you're on (Settings → About). A human reads every message.
